del.icio.us
May 14th, 2006
I’ve put off social bookmarking for quite a while as I never quite saw the point of it or sharing bookmarks. Recently I’ve found myself finding cool sites and then forgetting where they were when I tried to find them again a few weeks later. With the redesign of the blog, I also had a spare column in the footer.
For that reason, I’ve decided to try out using del.icio.us. You can see my bookmarks or grab a feed.
You can also see bookmarks at the bottom of the page. I’ve turned the footer into a section for external links containing blogs, experiments and links of interest.
JSON
I added del.icio.us bookmarks using the JSON service. JSON is really nice and it provides a lot more flexibility than using the already-rolled Javascript linkrolls.
I’ve modified the code to remove favicons and to add descriptions.

In my opinion, a bad move. But it’s your blog. Atleast the column has been filled.
Edit: Please get rid of the ‘BETA’ at the top!
Could do with a little more contrast on the footer and header, other than than, the only thing wrong with the design is the stupid "beta"… I’ve seen people killed for less.
Good work!
Now you have too many bookmarks
How can one have too many bookmarks
Since Sunny Boy threatened to report me to Google for using the "Beta" tag I decided to remove it.
