The Apprentice - BBC VoD

May 10th, 2006

I haven’t been watching The Apprentice on BBC over the last few months but I caught a glimpse of it on Saturday when it was repeated on BBC Three after Doctor Who Confidential and it got me hooked.

Was looking around the BBC site and I found out that you can watch all the episodes of The Apprentice on the BBC Two website on demand. You’ve got until the 17th May (one week) to watch them. I think it only works for people in the UK. They’re streamed in Windows Media format at (400×224 pixels) 242 Kbits/second so they’re not fantastic quality but still very watchable.

Last year, the BBC made all the episodes of Doctor Who Confidential available online and I believe earlier this year Channel 4 made The IT Crowd viewable and downloadable online (still didn’t make it a good show).

I think these BBC video on demand services are a good taster of the upcoming BBC iMP service which sounds pretty exciting. Maybe it’s time to find some 8mbps uncapped internet service!

They have had Ideal up for streaming on the BBC 3 website. That was quite a amusing comedy about Johnny Vegas as a small time dealer.
