Cut Price Promotions

April 7th, 2006

A lot of companies recently (television, internet, etc.) have been advertising 3 month cut price deals. Generally they are pretty banal deals only there to allow them to advertise a lower price. When browsing around ISPs, I found that some ISPs made it harder to find the real price of their product.

For example, Sky advertise their television service (2 mixes) at £7.50 for the first 3 months. After, it becomes £15. In total, you save £22.50. Not too bad.

NTL advertise their 2mb broadband service at £12.49 for the first 3 months. After the three months, it costs £24.99. In total, you save £37.50.

The king of pointless must however be BT. BT's "Option 3" broadband service costs £25.99 for the first three months. Afterwards, it costs £26.99. In total, you save £3.
