Extend Firefox Finalists

The finalists for the Extend Firefox competition have be announced. To be honest, there’s nothing particularly revolutionary there as most of the extensions in the finals have been out for a while.

There seem to be 3 extensions which implement a feature to show thumbnails of all the tabs: Firefox Showcase, Reveal and Viamatic foXpose. I don’t really understand this fad: I’ve never used this in Internet Explorer and I’ve never found it particularly useful to use in Firefox.

My personal favourite is Sage. I use this extension extensively on a daily status. I’m not sure how different Wizz RSS Reader is from Sage - the screenshots show that they are pretty similar.

Web Developer Toolbar is also a fantastic extension but nothing new as it’s been around for ages.
