XULRunner 1.8.0.1

A stable developer preview of XULRunner is now available. XULRunner allows you to build desktop cross platform applications using Mozilla Technologies - Javascript, CSS, XUL. In essence, it’s Firefox minus the browser.

With XULRunner, it should be possible to port some existing Firefox extensions to standalone applications. You can also write applications based on XULRunner which is dead easy, especially if you’ve developed websites before.

Firefox 3.0 is set to be a XULRunner application itself.
