Office User Interface Blog talks about the new font in Office 12: Segoe UI. Segoe UI is set to be used on Office 12 even if it’s installed on Windows XP which uses Tahoma for UIs. The article also lists some of the ideas and guidelines for Segoe UI. The post also points to an interesting article about Verdana and Georgia.

WhatTheFont is a nice tool to recognise fonts from scanned or print images.
