Tab Sidebar

November 6th, 2005

Tab Sidebar is a nice extension for Firefox 1.5. It does what it says on the tin - displays a sidebar with your tabs and a thumbnail so you can easily recognise them. I don’t really like the fact it’s implemented as a sidebar. I often use Sage; when I activate Sage the tab sidebar disappears. It’s also kind of awkward using tabs at the side rather than above the browser window. The problem with the sidebar is that to save horizontal screenspace the sidebar needs to be quite small. This means much of the page title is hidden.

It’d be nice to have screenshots added to the tabs above. I have a pretty large screen res and I would prefer to lose some vertical screen space than horizontal space.
