Firefox has 11.5% market share worldwide

November 1st, 2005

According to OneStat’s latest report, Mozilla Firefox has a global market share of 11.51%. Safari has a market share of 1.75%, more than double Opera’s market share at 0.77%.

What’s interesting is the statistics for the UK. Compared with the US and Canada, the UK has far more people using Internet Explorer and has a Firefox market share of only 5% compared to Canada’s 17%. I guess it’s not surprising that British PCs are often thought of as being full of spyware.

I wonder why there is such a big difference between the market shares in the UK and across the pond.
