Computer Keyboards

DasKeyboard is like a normal keyboard, without the letters on the keys. Apparently it’s supposed to make you remember the location of the keys so you type faster. Different keys have different feedback springs so you can tell if you pressed the wrong key if you get the wrong key. I do think it’s a little expensive at $80 – buying a cheap keyboard and removing the letters somehow (sanding, painting, sticky labels) is probably just as effective.
The Optimus keyboard is cool as well. The keyboard buttons change depending on what you’re doing – photoshop buttons, quake buttons, etc. There are also buttons for changing between programs.
I’m currently using a Microsoft Natural Keyboard which I’ve had for quite a while. It’s one of those old designs which have the keyboard split in half – one for each hand. It’s serving me well – the shortcut keys at the top for media are really useful (I’ve also set them up to work with amaroK.)
Has anyone tried a Dvorak Keyboard before? I know some people who have and like it although I’m quite happy with Qwerty myself. I do wonder whether Dvorak is any good for programmers or just typists – programmers tend to use more brackets, square brackets, angle brackets and strange characters then most people.
