Information Aesthetics - Blog of the Week
July 9th, 2006
Information Aesthetics is a great blog about how data and information are visualized or presented. The blog is normally updated once a day and links to some cool and interesting ways people present information.
As an example of some great things the blog links to, check out Greenwich Emoticon Map, 4D globe, Digg Data Visualization Model or the beautiful "Remind Me" video by Royksopp.
As a web developer, the blog interests me and it shows some alternate and new ways of presenting information. Although most of it cannot be directly used in a website, there are interesting ideas which could maybe be adapted.
The blog is also about how the worlds of data and art work together and web design is essentially creating a beautiful piece of art which gets your information across in a meaningful and powerful way.
