Not only do you have to deal with looking at the squares in numerical order in a parallel grid... the letters *still* aren't legible even then! (Is character 4 'G' or 'C'? Is 6 'M' or 'N'?) Seriously, do the people who make these CAPTCHAs ever do any sort of user testing? Particularly since the whole *point* is to be a Turing test? Wow. The scary thing is these CAPTCHAs come straight from the next version of phpBB which is about to enter beta so the whole internet will be using them soon.</p><p>I think people are putting too much faith in CAPTCHAs and need to come up with some other additional solutions for fighting spam and bots. </p> I seriously doubt it I’ve posted a couple more crazy CAPTCHAs.
